For the last 28 years, I’ve been in private practice in Johnson City, Tennessee. My goal for all these years, and my goal for the future as well continues to be to provide the best in evidence-based care for all patients. I have always tried to be conservative in my approach, with your treatment designed for your needs. If you don’t have a treatment need or your periodontal problem has progressed too far to allow for treatment, I’ll tell you that too. Equally important, I want to make sure that your treatment is as comfortable and as pain-free as possible. I want you to return to your general dentist and be able to say that your experience was a positive experience.
Periodontics involves the treatment of the supporting structures of the teeth, meaning the bone that holds the teeth as well as the gums that cover the bone. Periodontics also involves replacing missing teeth, using dental implants.
I’m the “foundation” guy. You need to have a solid foundation on which to build a house. Likewise, your general dentist needs a solid foundation to build on. If you were referred by your general dentist, then it was due to there being a problem with the “foundation”. My job is to fix the foundation so that you can keep your teeth, as well as to return you to your general dentist so he or she can build on that foundation, as need be. A healthy foundation also means your overall health will be better.
Your general dentist is an important and vital part of your periodontal care. My goal is to your periodontal health to the optimal level obtainable so that you can return to the general dentist who referred you. Please read the section on why your general dentist is more important, as it explains more about the importance of that relationship.
Services that are offered include non-surgical periodontal treatment, surgical periodontal treatment, and dental implants. State of the art treatment includes CBCT technology, which I’ve been offering for three years.
Your initial consult may take a little more time than most, but the more you understand about your treatment, the better your treatment will go. However, I’ll only get as technical as you want. Please feel free to bring your spouse or significant other to the consultation. I look forward to seeing you and helping you achieve your best, optimal periodontal health, and thanks for visiting the website.
